Aaliyah Edwards and Paige Bueckers. REVIVING the Juggernaut UCONN Huskies

Here's an interesting fun fact. We know "juggernaut" in contemporary usage as an unstoppable force. It sounds vaguely German but it actually derives from Sanskrit and describes a huge wagon or chariot used in ancient religious festivals to worship the Hindu God Jagannath. The first European usage of juggernaut dates to a missionaries 13th century description of devout Hindus allowing themselves to be crushed to death under the wheels of the wagon as a sign of their devotion.

Words are interesting things.
