The American Athletic Conference today unveiled the official logo for the 2016 American Football Championship. The Conference partnered with RARE Design, a design and branding firm located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, in the concept and design of this year’s new logo.

This year’s American Football Championship will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 at noon (ET) on either ESPN or ABC at the home venue of the divisional champion with the best record. The 2016 campaign will mark the second year The American will utilize a 12-team, two-division (East and West) format, in which each team will play eight conference games – five from its own division and three from the other division.
