Wow, how the hell did UCF manage to give up more points to that dude than we did? That's incredible.

I thought Daniel Hamilton, but he didn't win it. My guess is you have to go back to the Big East days.
Yeah, I thought Hamilton too, but he only won as a sophomore. It doesn't look like Drummond or Lamb won their freshman years either. Clearly been a long time.

This is notable because of who he did it against and the outcome.

#1 Tulsa on the road
#2 Cincy (would have been tied for #1 if they won)

Many get awarded with big games against marginal or bottom ranked teams. Just a huge award!

Tulsa lost that Juco with an ankle sprain with 10 minutes left in the game.
It wasn’t as noticeable in our game becsuse Igbanu carried them .

No chance. Which isn't a knock on him, but Precious is having a ridiculous freshman year

I wouldn't say no chance. Precious has some noticeable flaws. If Bouk leads us in scoring for the rest of the season on good efficiency, he could snatch it.

Who won freshman of the week???
The AAC actually does this stupid thing where if a freshman wins Player of the Week, they give a different freshman the Freshman of the Week award. Happened earlier this season with Precious winning the main award, and Bouk winning the freshman one.

Kid put up some good numbers though..

I honestly think Bouk is the most talented Freshman UConn has had since I have been following the team. I don't remember any other UConn freshman taking over games like Bouk does.

Yessir baby! This kid is improving and the league is taking notice.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I looked up Bouk's stats over the past 5 games. 90 points, 18 points per game over that stretch. It certainly looks like he has become the consistent scorer we had hoped for. Congrats to Bouk on what is likely the first of many player of the week awards.

No one ever before or since has been quite like Khalid El-Amin. One of the most unique players/people to land in Storrs.

Congrats BOUK. I'm that guy yelling JAMES at you when you go to the UConn bench at Gampel.
This old 82 year old is hungry for you to carry us to the NCAA TOURNAMENT.
