Just took a glance at all the non-conference schedules for the teams in the AAC. Pretty much status quo for UConn and Cincy (handful of good programs on each schedule). The rest of the AAC needs to step it up big time on the scheduling front. We're in year 5 of this conference and the lower tier teams are still scheduling like they're in CUSA.

I didn't look at preseason tourneys, but just going by guaranteed games these are the notable matchups for each team:

Cincy - URI (#23), Iowa State (#24), Butler and Xavier (#7)
UConn - OK State, Cuse (#19), Ohio State, Auburn, GTown
ECU - Virgina (#8) and not a single other P5 or Big East team
Houston - LSU, Arkansas and URI (#23)
Memphis - PC, Ole Miss, OU and South Carolina (kind of poor by Memphis standards)
SMU - Pitt, USC, TCU and Stanford
USF - South Carolina (that's it)
Temple - FSU and Nova (#4)
Tulane - UNC (#6), OU, G Tech and St. John's (wasn't expecting too much so not terrible)
Tulsa - Wich State, Oregon State and OK State
UCF - Mississippi State (abysmal schedule)

I'd be ok with kicking USF and UCF out of the conference based on that scheduling effort. ECU at least managed a ranked opponent. Also expected more from Houston and Temple.

The Rhode Island game for us is huge. If we win that we get a chance at Duke which is going to really help our RPI even if we lose.
