Vital stuffs the stat sheet, but 38% shooting isn't going to impress anyone, especially when his freshman guard teammate Bouknight is shooting 47% against the same competition.
Bobby BaccalaTo the victor, go the spoils.
Had to look Bobby up, I didn't know he got himself killed, but that quote has been around longer than Bobby. I looked it up and Google has it credited to Senator William L. Marcy of NY in 1828 regarding the election of Andrew Jackson, but I would think that proverb originated many centuries ago.Bobby Baccala

Cumberland doesn't deserve first team AAC, maybe second team. His performance this year reflects the come to Jesus moment when he now knows he is not going to the NBA but will be making money overseas! Good for him I wish him well but he isn't First team all AACIt 100% is going to Cumberland or Precious
He should’ve left last yearCumberland doesn't deserve first team AAC, maybe second team. His performance this year reflects the come to Jesus moment when he now knows he is not going to the NBA but will be making money overseas! Good for him I wish him well but he isn't First team all AAC
Precious will win all 3 individual awards.Any chance he gets DPOY? Last year it was Rideau from USF who led the conference in steals. This year, Vital leads the AAC in steals and is top 10 in rebounding. Think Akok would have been DPOY if not for the injury.
Vital has a good shot at Player of the Week this week. He put up huge numbers and we went 2 - 0 on the week.
I agree. He Stanley Robinsoned himself out of the draft probablyHe should’ve left last year
Who CV or Jarron? He deserves POY but will not get it.
I’d rather take the 2011 route, win the conference tournament and sacrifice POY.
You betcha he did.I'm trying to remember this for sure, but didn't KFree go wild and win Most Valuable Player in the Big East Tournament after being left off the all star teams for the regular season?
Excellent point. We all remember earlier in the season, particularly when the team was struggling, there was a lot of talk about who would be the go-to guy, who would be the one to carry this team on his shoulders. For a spell we had many contributors and it was effective. It seems like we've gone back to that, albeit with a stripped down roster. Always better to have a number of answers rather than just one or two. This frees up Christian for good looks and penetration. The way the team is playing, life has become much easier for Christian. Pretty obvious that having no help wasn’t good for his FG%. I’m not sure that’s a fair metric.
He’s such a complete player for his size. The D, rebounding and hustle to go with the scoring is too much to overlook.
