Doing stuff in the driveway yesterday with the Yanks on the radio. Game 1 ends, there are commercials and from a break there is a 30 second spot and Sterling says "'The time of the game was 2 hours 48 minutes..." and the length of the game was brought to you by (put sponsor here).".
Have we come to this? Every minutia of a broadcast is a sponsored bit? Or is it just the Yankees. I mean, get creative and have the length of the game be sponsored by Extenz.
Pitching changes are sponsored. The 15th out is sponsored.
I'm telling you...we're going to one day hear:
"THE YANKEES WIN!! TH-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E YANKEES....WIN!!!!! And that call was brought to you by Ben Gay."
