This was taken from a FB post from Not a Dime Back. Regardless of how you feel about Chandler, I thought this was very clever:

Chandler at Quarterback

The outlook wasn’t brilliant for the UConn team that day:
The score stood 28-14 with but four minutes more to play.
And when a false start slowed the drive and incompletes did the same, a sickly silence fell upon the patrons of that game.
A straggling few got up to go in deep despair. The rest clung to that hope which springs eternal in the human breast;
They thought, if only Chandler could get two whacks at that —
We’d put even money with Chandler at quarterback.
But first he missed to Thomas and then to freshman Ron
The former had been successful and the latter was coming on.
So into that stricken multitude doubt began to enter,
For there seemed but little chance with Chandler under center.
But then he found Bradley, to the wonderment of all.
Then, for 16 yards, he again hauled in that ball.
And when the dust had lifted, and Thomas found the ‘zone
They stole the on-side kick, and were so damn close to home
Then from tired throats there rose a lusty yell;
It rumbled through the valley, it rattled in the dell;
It knocked upon the mountain and recoiled upon the flat,
For Chandler, mighty Chandler, was back at quarterback
There was ease in Chandler’s manner as he stepped into his place;
There was pride in Chandler’s bearing and a smile on Chandler’s face.
And with good reason, for skills he didn’t lack
No stranger in the crowd could doubt ‘twas Chandler at quarterback
Forty thousand eyes were on him as he rubbed his hands for heat
Twenty thousand tongues applauded as he stood and set his feet.
Then he took the snap and placed the ball above his hip
Ready to throw, simply to not let this game slip.
And with the mighty defense hurtling through the air.
Chandler stood a-watching it in rightful grandeur there.
That line would not give in unless it was struck dead
“Fear not, I’m ready,” mighty Chandler stood and said.
From the stands still filled with people, there went up a muffled roar,
Like the beating of the storm-waves on a stern and distant shore.
“Throw it, throw it away!” shouted someone in the stand;
And he thought that’s what would happen, before Chandler raised his hand.
With a smile of Christian charity great Chandler’s visage shone;
He stilled the rising tumult; he bade the play go on;
He looked to the endzone and once more the football flew.
The crowd was filled with hope and Chandler, he was too.
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright.
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light.
And somewhere men are laughing and children smile in glee
But there is no joy for Chandler, he threw an I-N-T.

Are you a professional writer? That was pretty good. Nice work.

Cool poem, here is another one.

Sometime when you’re feeling important,
Sometime when your ego’s in bloom,
Sometime when you take it for granted,
You’re the best qualified man in the room.
Sometime when you think that your passing
Will leave an un-fillable hole,
Just remember this simple example,
And see how it humbles your soul.

Take a bucket and fill it with water,
Put your hand in up to your wrists,
The hole that you make when you leave it,
Is the measure of how much you’ll be missed.
You may thrash all you want when you enter,
You may stir up the waters galore,
But just wait for a moment
And it is still the same as before.

The moral of this is quite simple,
Just do the best that you can.
But please always remember
There is no irreplaceable man
