Slu I was going to get on her about that Cherry picking from the previous video also. Glad you mentioned it first. The forced/bad shots I agree is correctable with the right coaching and emphasis. Is there any doubt in your mind that she is #1 in the class at this point?

I haven't seen Nyah Green play so not sure. I just know that Brunelle is very talented and has a great upside with time and coaching. With that stroke and her aggressive mindset she's gonna score. Of that I have no doubt.

1:30 = hanging floater in the lane

3:10 = turnaround shot in post

8:30 = 3-pt

38:20 = steal to pull-up jumper

43:55 = basket down low from tough angle

Stats: 19 points ( 8-13 FG, 1-3 3-pt, 2-2 FT ), 6 rebounds, 2 blocks

1:00 = left-hand score inside

3:00 = excellent spin move on the baseline waved off on dubious travel call

17:42 = turnaround off glass deep in post + foul

17 points ( 4-9 FG, 2-3 3-pt, 7-7 FT )

She seems very efficient and doesn't appear to force anything. Good qualities, indeed!

FYI - NY just cut Jenkins from the training camp roster. That was a pretty short drink of water she had in the WNBA - hopefully someone else takes a look, or she gets a good gig overseas and comes back next year for another go round.

A few more observations:

Brunelle's huge rebounding numbers as a frosh must have a lot to do with the level of competition because so far I'd say she's an average rebounder at best for her size.

She posts up a ton and rarely gets the ball passed into the post.

Post-passing aside, she has some very good teammates. Several of them shot better than her from the outside in these vids.

17 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3-pt, 6-7 FT), 3 blocks

She has a terrific baseline drive and circus shot plus the foul in the second half.

Pretty impressive stretch late in the second half for Brunelle.

37:08 = putback plus a foul

39:30 = circus shot for a basket and the foul

40:25 = spinning turnaround shot from the elbow

42:09 = another basket and a foul

22 points ( 6-12 FG, 2-4 3-pt, 8-11 FT )

One of the top freshmen prospects in the country (#2 on ASGR), Brunelle is a multi-dimensional, 6-2/6-3 forward. UConn has attended her practice this year and she's being watched by all the big schools.

In the past week she has had these stat lines:

41 points, 22 rebounds, 6 blocks

52 points, 26 rebounds, 5 blocks

Samantha Brunelle (Far Right) - 6'3/2019/ William Monroe (VA)/ Boo Williams

The best overall prospect at the event due to her combination of size, skill and IQ. Brunelle dominated. She is effective on the block, a very good shot blocker, a willing and precise passer and has college 3-point range on her jumper already. It's scary how good she will be when she graduates in 2019 from high school.

The real question is: Is she Uconn caliber?? What about the incidentals--?? Great stats!

I wonder if she'll get any letters of interest from any schools this summer???????
With a punky 56 points and 41 points and huge rebounds and assists--who would have interest in this?? (Geno I hope).

Big game for Brunelle here. Shot selection is hit-or-miss. Sometimes she plays in the flow of the game, other times she really forces things.

34:45 = excellent re-post and up-and-under move for 2.

35:15 = 3-pt in transition on the next trip down

Two FT attempts are missing as the video jumped ahead.

26 points ( 10-16 FG, 3-7 3-pt, 3-4 FT )

All highlights were passes.

38:31 = excellent pass

105:52 = sterling pass in transition

106:05 = great full court pass from under her own basket

Stats: 12 points ( 5-11 FG, 2-2 FT )

shows a lot of emotion after a made basket

Don't know if this was posted before, but Green has given a verbal to Louisville. Many of those who give a verbal this early wind up reopening their recruiting.

Green commitment to Louisville has been noted-more importantly it extends the running joke that has come to characterize Louisville recruiting. You might want to check your mailbox-that child in your Avitar "probably" has a Louisville offer.
