A message from Mora

Your correct most if not all do. However we have a coach who a year ago called out all other programs for poaching UConn players. Thats called hypocrisy.
Poaching verbal recruits is not the same as players on the roster

Is that your rule or a rule? What is the last school to be penalized for it. We offer scholarships to verbally committed players alot too.

So when a school fires a coach are they breaking promises they don't intend to keep? Are you new to sports?
Ah, there is specific negotiated buyout language to compensate for early termination, and if not generally they get paid out unless there is a for cause provision. Are you new to contracts?

I don't give a about verbal commitments. Seventh graders that commit to schools. Anyone who actually signed a letter should be off-limits. Anyone who gives a verbal after being actively recruited and offered by UConn should be off-limits also.

Giddy, no disrespect man, but that language works both ways for when a coach leaves. Otherwise, no coach would ever leave unless fired. If UConn hires a headcoach from another school are you gonna look differently at him? Were you pissed at Hurley for leaving Rhode Island?

We just need to move on from Mora collectively as a fanbase. He made his decision. The hell with him.

The only area where Colorado State could have an edge on UConn is in percentage of revenue sharing dollars going to football. If Colorado State is committed to fully funding revenue sharing at 20.5M (I bolded because that is a big if) then they are highly likely to spend a higher percentage of that 20.5M on football than UConn is.
If you read articles on the potential revenue sharing at CSU, the potential numbers being floated by the CSU student newspaper were between $5 and $6 million for 2026/2027 for all sports. And, almost half of CSU's revenues come from either the state or student fees, so I don't see how they would be spending $20.5 million in revenue sharing.

Many schools have promised to fully fund revenue sharing despite healthy subsidies from student fees and/or declared losses by the athletic department (UConn being one of them). Most are chalking it up to the cost of doing business.

It's semi-pro baseball of yesteryear when you worked in the factory during the day and played at night. Except now there is no factory. Maybe they could all get jobs in Facilities.

I’m mostly men’s basketball fan since ‘98 I attended UConn but started following the football a couple seasons back.

I’ve a genuine question for yarders after seeing Marc’s tweets and spaces, what is this guy doing? Are we getting dumb and dumber drowning in the social media? Or is he just a click bait? At some point, you get to wonder if he is working for UConn or against?

I think as much as anything it’s being a fan (albeit with more access and money than most of us), (over)reacting the way many others here have to the news and updates. It’ll keep being like this until there’s a new hire.

So everyone is seeing it, not just me. Good. He is doing more harm than good.

I know he is passionate about UConn, and I appreciate the good he's done, but he NEEDS to log off the app already. All of this is massively cringe and has potential to bite us in the ass.
