"Offensively, it was again apparent that UConn has perhaps the nation’s most dangerous weapon in Samuelson (10-for-17, 4-for-9 on 3-pointers, 26 points, 19 in the first half).
“She made a couple big-time shots [and] you tip your hat,” Louisville coach Jeff Walz said. “The ones that were frustrating: We had talked for two days, you can’t let her back-cut you. Ride her off, make her shoot a pull-up off one or two dribbles. But then we got a little too aggressive as a post player, then we blitz her and she hit the roll. She was the one that we didn't do as good a job on defensively as I would have liked.”
“Because we have so many people who have the ability to score, most teams try to deny the ball to at least one of us at one point,” Nurse said. “And once the backdoors started to open up, guys did a great job of finding people on time and on target in the smallest places.”
