Sorry to disappoint. I went over to see DJB's 7 PM game. I was a bit late leaving and ran into traffic, so I got there about 7:10. I looked in the gym and thought, "Those girls are big. And the look like boys. In fact, they are boys." The boys' game was getting ready to tip at 7:15; the girls' game had started about 5:30.
I can't make Tuesday's game, but I hope to get to Friday's game at Oxon Hill, which is much closer to home. Tourney play begins on March 1, so I may be able to see her twice.
The approximate score tonight was 51-19. I asked how Boykin did. I was asked what number she is. I replied that she was the best player, by far. The reply, "Oh, DeJanae. She did good."
The gentleman who took me to where the schedule is posted said that she had been at the UConn v. Maryland game, sitting on the Terps' side. He did say that Geno was at the school a couple of months ago in person. At this point, everyone knows Coach as simply "Geno."
