A agree it won't matter. McNeeley has a lot more experience now though. Check it. Liam had 0 points against Dayton. Bizarre.

I think he was playing hurt in that game. He hurt his back or hip at the end of previous game if my memory is correct. He looked like he was in pain.

One of the many brackets, but a directional sense of how being on the 7 or 10 line is advantageous. At the 10, I would doing jumping jacks to see a team like StM. And then I’m really happy playing any of those 2 seeds sans Houston, who could still play into a 1.

Trending as a 4 seed in the BE tourney. This gets us a 3 game set of Xavier, StJ and likely the 2-3 winner. Is this a year we are better off dropping out early?

I would call the Seton Hall game a fairly tough spot not once but twice in the same game and the team completely collapsed. Not sure they played their best in New Jersey or Hawaii.
It doesn't matter who they play if they get to the dance because they, like everyone else, face a one and done scenario,
The one thing that UConn does have going for it is the fact that many on the team have been to one NC run and some have been to two. That experience is golden.
But when they play does matter: I don't mind being an 8/9 but if we play Duke in the East it will be in Raleigh so color that game Duke blue home. Would of course rather being 6 so we play the 3 (which could be #12 AP ranked) before we move to regionals (East becomes Newark) to play #1.

Let's get it Sunday and run the remaining schedule - get +2 wins in the BET and perhaps we are a 6.

We are not national title contenders. We are not as good as Duke, Alabama, Houston, Florida, and 3 or 4 other SEC teams. HOWEVER, our defense is improving. We are getting healthy. We have size, and we can score. I think we are live dogs.

Jerry Palm has UConn playing St. Mary's in the first round also, but the Huskies as a 9 seed and St. Mary's as an 8. Too early to worry about this stuff just yet. Just win, baby.

I just doubled down on my UConn title bets by putting more money on them at +8000. Lol

I just don't want an 8/9 seed

5,6,7,10,11,12 or better, I'm cool

Projected somewhere between 7-9, for the ncaa tourney, also depends on st.johns and BET,
But I think we are better off playing tough teams early on.
This team has played it's best, by far, in the toughest spots: facing depaul defeat, on the road in Milwaukee, on the road in Omaha, last night 2nd half down 14 season in the balance. Etc.

Alex himself said, paraphrasing, that this team doesn't get up for some games.
If we get a Maryland again, or a Louisville first round I'd feel better than if we drew Miami-ohio or Drake.

I would also love to play #1seed in rd 2 or 3. Last years team, seeded #1 overall, got off on running every possession to a T, no matter the opponent. They played against themselves. This years team needs a grudge

There is no statistical reason for this. I also know that we won't be a top 5 seed anyway, unless we win the big east and run the table. But give me an 8 seed and watch out
Methinks that your wish will be granted!

Given the loss to SJU, what do we think our new ceiling is? If we win out the regular season and beat Xavier, Creighton and St. John's in the BET, do we get to the 7 line?

We have to get in to worry about our seed. Let's focus on the getting in.
