died suddenly on Friday. I remember seeing him and his wife several times at last year's final four. I believe they gave
several scholarships in his and his family's name to UConn.

What a shock! I've known him for years; spoke to him prior to the Cincinnati game. He was standing out in the rain, writing to meet someone, who he said was notoriously late. Turned out he was waiting for Chris Dodd. He was part of a decent sized group of people, mostly Dodd family I believe.

Yes, he sponsored three scholarships.

There are no bigger fans of UConn athletic teams than the Baum family. Les will be missed by all of us.
