Michigan and Texas with two big victories, improving the quality of our wins

In the world of college basketball, we're a better team now than we were just a few ours ago

:)

We played Maryland and Michigan, so.....

Warren Nolan does real time updates. Michigan won and Maryland lost, so that game doesn't help us other than move Michigan a little closer to a Top 25 win for us.

Our bigger problem is Temple and Syracuse. Both are drifting downward, with a meaningful possibility of becoming non-Top 100 teams, which would really hurt on Selection Sunday.

We need to go on a 5-6 game tear. We just need W's, and can't afford any L's for a while. We just don't have enough quality wins left on our schedule.

Well, yes, statistically it's the same either way, but he's saying that since we beat Michigan, it looks better for them to get that win than for them to lose it.

actually, I think it's more important to have a larger "quality win", so I do believe a MI win is better since we beat them.

the better MI's ranking, the better that win will be for us

Temple is actually drifting upward, and significantly, they have moved up 50 spots since we played them

so we jump 4 and Cuse drops 6, and neither one of us played

Why is that shocking... other teams are playing and most of your RPI is not your own record.
it's not shocking, it's very telling

I'm not an RPI man, I think it's all about who plays the strongest cupcakes, it was meant to be a toll to assist with evaluating teams, it's morphed into the gospel

While that may be true, it's entirely unrelated to RPI.
