After tonight's game against Creighton, some players upped their averages and some did not.

Aaliyah is now averaging 17.9 ppg and 10.0 rpg, shooting .633/1.000/.745. All American numbers!

Dorka is averaging 13.4 ppg and 11.6 rpg. Averaging a double-double, as she did in the Big 10.

Nika is now averaging 9.9 apg, down slightly, as she missed her wide receiver, who has Covid. She still leads the nation by a wide margin. Hofschild of Colorado State is at 8.4 apg and is the only other player above 7.6 apg.

Lou's FG and 3-point shooting dipped slightly, but her FT shooting edged up. For the season, she's at .490/.508/.963. Her 3-point shooting ranks 10th nationally; her FT shooting would rank 5th if she had enough attempts to qualify. BTW, she has scored in double-figures in all 12 games. She, Liya, and Yanna are the only players to have played all 12 games.

The team is shooting .520/.415/.764. The national ranks are now 2nd, 3rd, and 38th.

With no injuries it can only get better in every category of the game. This team, after all they have been through ,seems to be destined to succeed. There is no other team playing that has faced adversity like Uconn and has prevailed like they have. I hope it never ends until the NC. GO HUSKIES!!!!

Additional stats:

Nika is shooting .43/.38/.64. Last year, she shot .43/.34/.22. Improvements from the arc and line.

Nika's A:TO ratio this year is 2.9. Last year it was 1.7. She's 10th in the nation.

How does calling a foul on Creighton make the referees hometown friendly?
Go back and watch it. Touch fouls all over the place on UConn, yet Creighton was getting pretty physical and choppy with no calls. Especially earlier in game. Context is important, never said just calling a fouls on UConn made the refs hometown friendly.

Twice. Refs were definitely home town friendly.

I thought Edwards was almost Bostonian the way she bullied the other team down low and the refs called very little of it and sent her to the line quite a bit too.

When you step back to 30,000 feet and look at this game it is hard to take references to referees seriously. I mean...there weren't too many pundits and experts who picked a depleted UConn team to roll over Creighton by 25 points. Heck, they were up 31 at the 5:55 mark in the 3rd. Keep in mind this is a depleted UConn team doing this to the #21 ranked team in the nation.
