It was really a waste of time, it was only like a 60 sec skit (he was instage). Talked about his mindset going into the process (he was very humble, sayin he hopes to pick the brains of his future teammates and continue to grow and get better). ESPN tried to start controversy by stating that JL recently said AD can be great if AD would commit himself 100%, Ad refuted this by saying that JL never said that (reporter twisted words) and that he spoke JL personally who said he never made that statement. AD also stated that UConn being banned this year didn't have much to do with his decision to go pro, and also his mom and little sis will be moving wherever he is drafted

Guess Drummond and Lamb have some chemistry! ahhaha...going to be fun watching drummond and lamb grow in the NBA. I hope the celts can grab possibly lamb. Would be nice to have a UCONN player on the celts now that Ray Ray is probobly gone.

It's definitely a possibility that Drummond and Lamb will be playing together in Portland.

Here's what would make me wary of Drummond if I was an NBA GM: I'm going to use a lottery pick on him, pay him a lot of money, and probably get minimal production in year 1-2.

Then (hopefully) in years 3-4, after hours and hours of working with this kid, I might start to see glimpses of the dominant big man that many of us envision......but by now his rookie contract has expired and he's free to sign with another team and kick my butt for the next 10 years.

The best example is Jermaine O'Neal. Portland drafted him in the first round, worked with him on his game behind-the-scenes, but got virtually zero production out of him in 3.5 years. By the time he became a really good player, they had already traded him to the Pacers.

Every time I've seen AD interviewed or speak in front of the cameras, his answers come off as those of a 15 year veteran, which makes me question this idea of his so-called immaturity.

He's pretty good with the media, but you can see he's a kid just from his mannerisms around the team and on the court. The thing I don't get is this: you can also see that he really enjoys playing basketball, which is why I don't get the motor comments about him.

BTW:

via ESPN Stats & Info tweet:
"Of the 125 players who defended at least 75 post-up plays this season, Andre Drummond allowed the fewest points per play."

I thought that was an interesting stat.

But why, because he smiles and kids around? Matt Light of the Patriots was a big goof, bu I struggle to say he wasn't taking things seriously even if he was messing around during stoppages and such.

I agree it shouldn't be considered a fault either way.
