He's just echoing a phrase that Gabby and others of her generation like to use: "Stay woke"

Basically a twist on "stay awake" and/or conscious of what's really going on in the world---socially, politically etc. It's a progressive thing.

Except for the concern that we may lose some of our kids due to lack of minutes.

I don't see minutes as a major problem for most of the players.

We look to have 7 players with major minutes this year. Everyone else is a sophomore or freshman, so they have time to work their way up. Gabby and Kia leave before next year, so everyone else may move up 2 slots. We'll see what 2018 recruiting brings. If we get CWill, she may jump over Andi. If we get ONO, she'll probably jump over Batouly.

I think all of the freshmen are good enough to contribute by next season. Molly and Kyla may be there too.

Keep in mind that some of the starters on the iconic 2002 team started for only 1 season, and UConn has had non-starters drafted in the WNBA.
