A death in the UConn family

John Wholley, father of assistant coach Jonathan Wholley, passed away on August 27th. John was better known to UConn fans as the John of "John & Tom" in the Better Bedding commercials. He was an avid fan of both UConn & Southington High football. My condolences to the Wholley family. According to Tuesday's Meriden Record-Journal his wake is this evening & funeral will be tomorrow.

Very sorry to hear this Coach. I do not know the family personally, but rather know of them through my association to UConn. Thoughts and prayers to the Wholley family and friends.

I'm sorry to hear this. I was a better bedding customer and they treated me like I was the only customer they had. The Wholleys and Better Bedding will feel the loss of this man.
