Monday, February 27 at 9:00 PM. Your team needs you. No, not someone else who'll probably buy the ticket you would have if you choose not to. You...if you live anywhere in the remote vicinity of Hartford.

Game too late for you on a weekenight? Parking too expensive? Hartford too scary? Can't get a good enough seat? I don't want to hear it. Take Tuesday off or just suck it up with less than a desirable night's sleep. The game's not for almost two months- you can save up the $15 for parking. Hartford will be well policed. If you have a lousy seat, remember, your attendance is as much about being there in support of your team and being a part of an electric atmosphere as it is about you having the greatest vantage point. DVR the game and rewatch it later if you're concerned.

There needs to be 16,249 screaming, bloodthirsty fans in attendance February 27. The girls need that shot in the arm heading into the post-season. They have the capacity to win it all, but they haven't been able to close out games against top competition. This will be their chance to make things right and feel optimally about their chances heading into the BET-NCAA gauntlet.

UConn's WBB program has given a great deal to this community. Now is a time to give back to it by showing up for what is now the most important game of the regular season.

Hope to see you there.

UConn marketing...hello? Are you listening? The time is NOW to start talking up this game. Let's see if you can step up and provide an assist for the team. Alex is talking truth, but making the plea on the Boneyard is not going to reach the masses. Isn't that why UConn has a marketing department in the first place? Going to be tough to get families to this game with the start time. The plea needs to go out to your high dollar corporate donors to encourage their employees to support the Huskies. Buy a block of tickets and get butts in the seats. Offer FREE tickets to the students with discounted buses. It still amazes me that UConn actually charges students for tickets. The students can be the secret weapon. Get them there in droves! All season ticket holders: talk up the game to your friends, family, coworkers. Let's pack the XL!

If I don't have to work and can get my hands on a ticket, I'm prepared to drive up from Phila.

I feel very confident about the rematch, too.

Agree completely- and given that a lot of people in UConn's AD read the Boneyard, I hope they see this and do exactly what you're suggesting (and any other bright ideas they may have).

Can't be there myself -- 2,500 miles one way is just too much -- but you've got the right idea. And if UConn's athletic marketing department doesn't use today's result to stimulate sales, they should be fired. There's just no reason that place shouldn't be packed and rocking.

Uconn's marketing department is virtually nonexistent when it comes to game promotion let alone team promotion. It will take several more blows to the head before they even notice something needs to be done, and then there will be months of hand ringing before they start doing something. All the things that you say are true but those in charge are far to entrenched to believe they could be doing a better job of "MARKETING THEIR PRODUCT.

Email Pres. Herbst. From what I've heard, you'll at least get a response. It may put the issue on her radar.

Night blindness. It's my main deterrent to attending a supercharged game like this in person.

Realized how my attendance has dwindled when HuskyBill confessed to identifying random passers-by as me at Boneyard halftime gatherings, knowing he wouldn't be called on it. And especially when he selected me as a random passer-by at my one appearance this season.

I'm learning to cope, however. A couple of family members have been sick as dogs with the flu and one of them even ended up in the hospital. So I've been shuttling around, hospital to home to take-out food, doing more night driving than I like to do.

Told Mrs. JS my technique for night driving is to drive until I bump into something, and then change direction.

Last night I revealed a new feature I'm working on: Whenever you can see a good distance ahead, speed. That way you get there before anybody comes along the other way with their lights in your eyes.

Somehow she wasn't reassured.

See you at Halftime Boneyarders!
If someone has never been to the "gathering" at halftime, how would they recognize the Boneyarders? I have heard you meet between 118-119, but....how do you tell a Boneyard group from the Dunkin Donuts throng??? (not being smart, sincerely asking...)
