Surprised Duke only has 6 and UCLA-Indiana-Michigan not there. How about if we go back to when the field was expanded to 64 teams?

Indiana and Michigan only have 1. UCLA doesn't make the cut.

Please. Everyone knows success in the tournament is about lucky draws, not winning games.

Sorry upstater, but you conveniently chose 20 years as your cut-off. To be fair we should go back to 1985 when the field was expanded to 64 teams.

Why stop there? Why not go back to when Michael Nesmith of The Monkees invented basketball. Yeesh....

I know. Syracuse had to travel all the way to Buffalo to face the mighty Dayton Flyers while Duke took a marathon trek to Raleigh for a very difficult match-up with Mercer. All this while the NCAA allowed a seven seed with a path that had them merely need to beat a two seed and a three seed to get to the elite eight. How lucky were we compared to them?!
