Two more regulation wins and the only team that can jump us in the standings is PC. Two more regulation wins would guarantee us no worse than 5th and a first round bye.
Up 1 point on Providence but they have a game at hand. Remaining games:

UConn:
@Northeastern
@Vermont

Providence:
@Merrimack
@BU
@Northeastern

If we win our final two games, Providence would have to get 7 out of 9 points to tie us.
If we win tomorrow and Merrimack beats Providence in regulation, we would only need to beat Vermont to secure the 4 and home ice advantage in the 4v5 game.

Anyone know if we win out and Providence gets 7 points from their last 3 and tie us, who wins the tiebreaker?

I think they have the the tiebreaker with a regulation win against us vs our SO win over them. Head to head they got 4 of 6 points vs us.

I am amazed at how good we looked for large parts of the game last night. Crisp well coordinated passes. Played team hockey. The freshmen d-men played well together. And we play fast and quick. I’ve thought the last few years that we always looked a step slower than the rest of the league both in basic speed and in terms of decision making. Not this year. We might not have 2 lines of 1st rounders, but we compete on every lose puck. Totally different vibe that was really on display last night.

Ugggh, these announcers. :eek::eek: She pronounced every first liners name wrong. That quite a feat.

Way to passive on the penalty kill.
