Great performance by our guys tonight. Real grit wire to wire! Couple of observations;
Our guys go all out on every shift and we continue to avoid stupid 5 minute majors. Let’s hope that continues tomorrow.
I’ve been to 4 games at Schneider and only once have i had a seat without an obstructed view. I had to watch the scoreboard way more than is reasonable. Handicap seating, railings and the parade of people that obstruct the view for anybody in the second level….really poor design.
the place was half empty by the 3rd period, the student section was almost completely empty after 2. Maybe they had homework.
#20 taunting our bench when he scored in round 1 of the shootout? Totally classless. He looked like an ass when Whitcomb tucked in the winner.
Can’t wait till tomorrow!

What's the strategy for getting a meal (4 adults) downtown before the game? For basketball, you need to be in any restaurant 3+ hours before tipoff for any hope of getting service. Does hockey (this Top 10 match in particular) require the same effort? Anybody have a favorite place?

I think early afternoon for hockey you should be OK most places. We are headed to Salut after the game. Should be a good crowd though, I got the last 4 together and that was like 4 weeks ago, unless they opened the upper sections.

I go to Pratt Street - Vaughn's Irish pub. It's small and it will fill up quickly pregame. There is also an Urban Lodge on Pratt, which is bigger, but I don't know anything about the food. Their website has the menu posted. Good luck!

This is fantastic! Hopefully, this will encourage even more people to become serious fans of the UConn hockey team.
Not to mention tonight's basketball game against Marquette on the road isn't till 8, so no excuse to not have more fans.

Shoulld be the biggest crowd in the Civic Center since the last Whalers game and arguably our biggest game since the Whalers had a playoff game in Hartford. I know we had a hockey East playoff game in Hartford but this matchup is much bigger. I'm sorry the Wolfpack don't count.

Why did Cav start Tung?

10,000+ crowd 7 game winning streak and don’t go with what’s been working?
