Top 4th, UConn offense leaves 2 runners on base after getting a run. 4-0 UConn.

Smith doesn’t seem fully healthy. Wonder if we’ll see Daniels during the playoffs.

In other news, time to start thinking about our reinvented SP staff.

Assuming that Tammaro continues to play 2B, suspect it is more likely that we see Simmons in CF if Smith can't play. At this point I doubt the coaching staff wants to put Morton back in CF after he had some problems there earlier in the season.

Bottom 4th, Kirby stands 2 runners on base. 4-0 UConn. Kirby at 29 pitches.

Kirby is giving up a lot of hard contact. Glad we're playing here and not at Xavier or Georgetown.

Good job with the shutout innings but with the pen rested, I'd go to a different reliever next inning.

Well I like Mortons speed in Center and his defense as well as his arm.

At this point I'm inclined to stay with Kirby until they get a run off him.

Jones speculating that Northeastern could make it to Omaha. I agree; that team is legit.

UConn gets 2 runners on with no outs to start the 5th, and in desperation Creighton will turn to their closer.

Morton had a number of misplays in CF when he was playing there while Simmons was out. That's the reason Smith is playing CF, he took over for Morton due to those misplays.

Well politely disagree… and I will leave it at that. Go Huskies!

Dagger 2 RBI single by Garbowski, who is heating up at exactly the right time! 7-0 UConn!
Was going to just say that. While most posters here look at who isn't hitting well, Garbowski has started to turn it around. It is really hard to get all 9 hitters going good at once. But a couple of hot guys with the stick can carry a team and now it is Garbo's turn.

With the UConn lead growing, I'm hoping some of the lesser used guys out of the bullpen can get some time on the mound today. We'll see what happens.

Bottom 5th, with a runner on 2B (a leadoff hit by pitch) and 1 out, Kirby comes out of the game. Ellisen comes in to pitch.

Ellisen gets 2 outs to get out of the inning. 7-0 UConn.

Top 6th, Smith with a leadoff walk and steals 2B (what a surprise, 35th stolen base of the year for Smith) with no out. Freeberger with a 1 out RBI ground out, 8-0 UConn.

Chris Jones talking about more D3 transfers coming to UConn next season. He can't mention names at this point.

As of now there are 1 D3 transfer and 3 JUCO transfers for next season that have been mentioned on the recruiting thread.
