If Maryland plays like this vs the top 5... They have size, athleticism and decent outside shooting, that is a recipe for winning if they can continue to develop. Wow! I'm excited for March!

Well, this game didn't turn out how I was expecting. However, I find myself to not be that shocked. Seems like SEC could be a little bit more wide open for Miss State.

I don’t think Maryland’s that great, I think SC is not playing defense and allowing Maryland to get an offensive rebound on every possession.

This im sorely not as impressed with MD as well. SC just looks worse of the worst so far in this matchup.

Now if MD doesn't figure out this press ill understand why the transfer rate is so high for sure!

Does Frese recruit rebounders? — Maryland is always very good on the boards

I dont think SC will be competitive until they realize the ball needs to go through Herbert-Herrigan instead of Harris or Cooper as 1st options.

Maryland can't stop fouling, and can't make layups. Austin's rebounding numbers are so inflated because she misses and gets her own shots

I am impressed with MD rebounding. They need better PG but I think they are top level team. SC does not impress me, the guard play does not appear as advertised. However, I believe both these teams will improve and be a factor come March.

SC gets penetration in the zone, but can't doing anything with it because there's no one to kick out to for the open 3.

South Carolina has always been very stagnant on offense and never really had shooters on their team or guard play. This year it looks like they don’t have defense or offense. I hope that #1 class on the way has shooters and scorers.

Are you sure about that? The play-by-play on espn.com shows that all her offensive rebounds so far in this game have come off teammates' misses.

I can see why Anriel Howard chose us over South Carolina.

SC falling in love with the 3 ball even though none of them are shooting it well beyond the arc.

So with this embarassment one thing is clear ...MD is better than #9 or SC is worse than #10. I vote SC drops to #15 or 16

Shakira definitely has all the intangibles to bece an absolute beast. She moves really well for 6’5” I am just not sure Brenda will get her there, although Brenda did some impressive things with Brionna Jones.

I am nowhere near as impressed with SC as I thought I would be, particularly guard play. I question Nelly Perry’s decision to SC for her grad transfer year. Grad transfers are often looked upon for immediate impact.

Three MD players had double doubles. Cooper led SC with 3 assists 2 of which were right at the beginning. 10 Assists is not good.
