800+ in a season

There's no way you can have an all-time UConn women's `BB top 5 and not have these 3 on it. The only debate is who would join them as a starting 5...for me, it's Sue Bird and Napheesa Collier...this 5 would be any other Uconn squad it's versatile they can all score, defend (without fouling), rebound, and pass and, shoot for a high percentage. They can also beat you in any style you play uptempo, half-court, or grind it out. what's your squad against mine?

I think the W went from 34 to 40 games, though I’m not 100% certain. I expect that about 5 players will surpass the 800-point mark this season. Most of the top 5 or 6 in scoring, especially if they haven’t missed any games. Can someone score 1,000 in the next few years?

With the expansion of the season from 36 to 40 games, several season records will ultimately be broken. Just sayin'.
Precisely. Jewel Loyd currently sits at 799 on the season, Aja Wilson at 790. Even Arike will eclipse 800 if she scores at her average for the remainder of the season. Something only two players had done will now be accomplished by 4 in a single season.

I would like to note that if Loyd is successful in scoring a single point in her next game, she’ll reach 800 in 34 games, which was the historical length of WNBA seasons. So that’s really impressive.

Stewart took 35 games to get to 800. Oh so close.

This is one example of why I don’t think Taurasi’s scoring mark will be untouchable. The longer the regular season becomes, the more the record books will be rewritten.

Certainly Sue Bird, but perhaps you never saw Nykesha Sales play.

Tina Charles for Napheesa.

So, Stewie made the single season points mark last night, Jewell can beat it this night, then Stewie can regain the mark on Thursday ....

Does someone knows if the peak performer is named about Total points in the season or about PPG ?

I think if it is PPG, it belongs to Jewell. But if it is total points it's a three way battle betwenn Jewell, Stewie & A'ja

I think a lot of this depends on if you’re building the perfect team or the top five players of all time. Clearly these three are in the top five, As much is I love Phee, I would put Sales, Bird, Charles, and Lobo all ahead of Collier.

Just a reminder. Yes, Jewell is among the top scorers this year. She's also shooting 37.3% in fg"s. She takes a lot of shots.
As does that other ND player, Arike at 39.4% in fg's this year.
