Grind it out boys. Let’s get 3. This is a signature HE game. It’s never easy.

Maine is filled with a bunch of grinders. And don’t forget they beat Quinnipiac a few weeks ago.
Frustrating game to watch at times from a UConn perspective and we were definitely sloppy with the puck and coasting at times (especially with some lazy offsides), but you take the points and hope the team applies itself to get a full 3 tomorrow.
Once again Terness was very good and saved them a couple times on breakaways and 2 on 1s.

Agreed Maine is tough. Hoping for 3 points tomorrow and then I will root for the Black Bears for the rest of the season. They are gonna be a tough out for everyone.

Viet Vet is right, the Woodstock Academy Band was tremendous tonight filling in for our band. They were in tune, loud and super enthusiastic. They brought it tonight!
We didn’t get anywhere as many second and third chances around the goal as we usually do. Maine did a good job cleaning up rebounds.
Come back strong tomorrow ,make it a 5 point weekend and keep the icebus rolling along.

To which I wonder - how many season holders support the IceBus program? In the novelty days of just join Hockey East I believe there were about 2200. That's got to be significantly lower now, but will hopefully rise along with the program. The new and rather tiny barn on campus will change dynamics, but if they do this right it could mean better attendance at the XL in the future too. I also wonder how many Season ticket holders are planned to take up the 2600 capacity at the TFIF.

Ty removes the glove and calls it a good goal! Possibly my favorite celebration ever!

I'm also in favor of having Ty play on a line along with Capone and Bradley. What an intense combination of players there - Huskies own version of the Legion of Doom. Ty was a great grad pickup for Cavs! Hoping he stays healthy as he's quickly becoming a fan favourite.

We were unable to tell from sec 114, but this flying piece of lumber (top right of pics) looked like it almost ended up in the seats. Did anyone notice it from another angle? The fans down below seemed to be bracing for impact!
