Still not getting respect we deserve. We know this doesn't matter but it still pisses me off.

90% of the books in Vegas as of 9/5 had UConn between 25/1 and 50/1.

Last year in Vegas you could get the Huskies between 65/1 and 85/1 right about now.

Last November I put $25 on our boys at 100-1. Needless to say being a UConn fan pays off in more ways than one. And no I didn't hedge because putting money down in UK's favor would make my skin fall off.

I offered to hedge my future before the Fla. game with no takers. At the time I was local not in Vegas.

Only time I had a friend in Vegas last year was after the Florida game in Dec...got 16-1 odds. Wish I had been there in March!

GW??? As in George Washington? Look out for GW next year to potentially be the Cinderella story of college hoops. That returning nucleus should be primed to do at a minimum what Dayton did last year. This year they just need to make the dance to lay the foundation.

Eek, that must have been the worst time to get in. I wonder what the odds were after the Houston/SMU debacle?

^^^^^^^
UConn was 11-1 going into the Texas swing... so whatever value that was created in the opening #'s depreciated. In the course of a five (5) day meltdown in Texas the Vegas books would not be to quick to adjust the #'s. The #'s across the strip and beyond in LV remained status quo after the SMU 9pt loss. Soon after UConn beat Harvard and #17 Memphis.

After the brackets were released and UConn was a #7 seed and had to get through that gauntlet of teams you could have found UConn @ 100/1 at least 1 book in Vegas (The MSG home court was overlooked).

This year there prolly isn't much value anywhere. Prolly just fun to ghost it and enjoy the games with no real action.

What really pisses me is the plethora of s hit ahead of us. Villanova?? Is the Dance being held at Dupont this year? Duke annually flames out--this year will be no exception.

Respect has nothing to do with Vegas lines. Vegas lines are only set to make money by making sure that whomever wins the Championship, the book has raised enough money to pay the winners.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people are stuck on looking for "respect" from others.

I am pretty naive about this stuff. If I wanted to throw a $100 bucks at UCONN, can I do this on line somewhere instead of flying to Vegas or meeting Mr. Gumba in a alley?

I asked the same question last year and was told placing future bets online is not a good idea. @whaler11 might know some people if you want to be hooked up.

'Nova at 30 to 1 looks underpriced to me.

I have never been an online player. You have no legal recourse if you are not paid. A hit went out on the BetUs owner/founder in Costa Rica where they are headquartered. If you need help navigating the Vegas sports book scene I def can help. The 2nd vid below mentions a few books he thinks are reputable. BE CAREFUL. Large payouts over 10k would be high risk.

I'm getting married in Vegas next weekend. Definitely putting some big money down on repeating and hoping the wedding luck rolls through the season!

11/10/13 got the Huskies at 50/1 for $50. Nice payday.

There are several online sites that I know of people using with success, Sportsbook.ag and Bovada.lv being the two most popular. That being said I do not know of anyone who won any serious money on these sites so as the poster below you pointed out I cannot comment on the risk involved in getting paid out should you win a substantially large amount.

EDIT: Also, note bovada has UConn listed currently at 40/1

Yes it was legit....Joey was fired at with water balloons manufactured by Fluedy & Mauconn. It doesn't get any more legit than that. 1 nailed Joey in the leg and his body guard reportedly was also struck. I am sorry to be the bearer of such bad news :(.

His other bodyguard reportedly had the night off and spent the evening at world famous Hotel Cocal on Jaco Beach in CR. ;)

You 3 are by far the strangest of the Boneyard lot and that is saying something. All love though. And this is coming from a guy watching reruns of the 2011 tourney at midnight on a Saturday.

I placed $150 on 65-1 to win minutes before the Maryland game last season. I used Sportsbook.ag and, while it took a little while, I was able to get the full payout $2,500 at a time with relative ease. Just have to "play their game" when it comes to the withdrawal. Tried not to give them any reason to NOT give me the money.

If you don't need the cash right away, online is fine I'd say. If you play online with one site long enough, you have quicker and larger withdrawal options but since my first bet with them was that, I only had the physical check withdrawal option. My other friend made the same bet but since he's used the site a lot, he was able to wire transfer and get his money much quicker.

Used the cash to pay off the rest of my student loans.
