This one is down to the wire. Will the Cavinder sisters pull it out? Down 1 with 6 seconds left. Wyoming Ball. Quick steal or have to foul

2 Huge FT's by Wyoming Up 3 with 3.4 seconds

Cavinder last 3pt shot blocked at the Buzzer. Wow. Fresno St loses again in Conf. Tournament final

Heartbreak hotel for the Bulldogs as they are held to a season low 56 and the Cowgirls are gonna dance!

Well I was pulling for Fresno St., but congrats to Wyoming. I'm gonna guess pretty much nobody predicted they were gonna win the MWC tourney.

At some point, you’ve gotta realize your shot is off and spread the wealth around. Really poor decision making and shot selection hampered the twins tonight.

Absolutely and very surprising from a team with the Mountain West coach of the year and player of the year. Neither coach nor player reflected award-worthy decision-making tonight.

But you really have to hand it to the Wyoming defense that took both the twins way out of their comfort zone and controlled Utti.

It felt like they were trying their hardest to prevent a repeat of last year, but it clearly didn’t work out that way. Hate putting losses on the play of certain people or plays, but the constant driving into traffic to wildly throw up a shot tonight was something else.

Was gonna say, I was there in person when Fresno State lost a thriller-heartbreaker last year as well. Déjà vu all over again. Tough times.

This year's COY is the first year coach for UNLV Lindy La Rocque, the former Asst Coach for Tara at Stanford. She has the 6th youngest team in the nation, has the second most wins among first year coaches, and is the first Lady Rebel coach to receive league Coach of the Year.

I stand corrected. Rocque might have taken a different approach in the second half?

I don't think that there was anything that La Rocque could have done to turn the 3pt tsunami that the Cowgirls hit them with. Not too many teams hit more three's than two's 15 to 11. The Cowgirls were well rested and did not show any rust at all. They beat the C*** out of 3 of the 4 teams they played and completed a 4 day sweep which is rare in the MW that a team plays the first round ends up winning the Championship.

In the final against the Bulldogs the Cowgirls hit 9 of 24 threes and outrebounded the Dogs by 10.

In the semi Wyoming hit 6 of 17 threes and turned Boise State over 23 times.

In the quarters they hit 15 of 31 from three land against coach of the year La Rocque's squad.

In the first round 5 for 20 threes against Utah State.

So 35 threes in the tournament with the semi performance a tournament record.

Also notable in the four games they held their opponent to single digits in at least one quarter per game including the two-point second quarter they imposed on Fresno State.

As you say this is very impressive as they did have to play on the first day of the tournament.
