Those that were looking for offense should be happy. Tied at 24 at the end of Q1.

edit--Clark has 5 assists already.
 
This is scrappy as I expected so far. The freshman Bostic helped with 6 points today for Mich St.
 
Clark has been struggling a lot offensively this tournament. At least she’s sharing the ball and creating for her teammates

Czinano is great as always

Czinano was on the bench with two fouls for quite a while. I think Iowa will regain their advantage when she’s back on the court.

I've been watching Czinano play for a couple of days and her name is nearly identical to another athlete from many years ago. For extra credit who can tell me the story about Cinzano? A hint is that another athlete named Lebon was involved. Another hint is that the event occurred in NY. No fair using a search engine

  • MSU is completely gassed.
  • They've gotten 13 points out of a frosh sub (Bostic) who barely plays
  • Martin and Warnock have the attitudes of linebackers for Iowa.

And now it will be Maryland vs. Iowa, Round 2. Will they get oxygen tanks out for that one?

Iowa's gonna need them. Maryland should be way more rested after earning the double-bye and resting their players during the blowout today. But it's still hard to play 3 days in a row for them so if they don't put it away early you never know.

Offense wasn't the problem for Iowa against Maryland in the regular season game, but Maryland was even better offensively and led comfortably the whole way.
 
Michigan State got further than what was expected out of them.

Makes me wonder what they'll look like next season with their 2021 class coming in. Adding 4 players could be a boost for roster depth.

It doesn't even rise to the level of stirring the pot, much less pouring gas on flame. Those would require actually calling specific posters out. Instead, we get vague references to "some" or "many" or "several" posters who post this or that. It's weird and mostly meaningless.
