Gtown made a jumper from the top of the key with about 7:05 remaining to get to 65 points. Next bucket was around the :54 second mark to get their final two points and get to 73.

In that 6+ minutes in between it was 6 FT's by Wahab.

UConn wore down Georgetown and all those 15' fadeaway jump shots got tougher as their legs got drained.

Totally agree.. If you look at their second half FG/FT percentages.. Down significantly over first half.. Legs and shot making usually first signs of fatigue.. Our bench --home and away-- really helps us here.

Whether it was by design or merely a substitution pattern, when Georgetown started to wear down, UConn sped the game up with the small lineup. Brilliantly done. Yet another arrow in the quiver.

Without the rebounding advantage, this is a 30 point win. Kudos to the Hoyas for recognizing that effort was the only chance they had to win and doing a pretty good job for 30 min before their ship crashed on the rocky shores of the Calcaterra coastline and they were driven back into the sea by the rest of the UConn bench.
