We saw a lot of that stat, and I actually only remembered one of the misses off the top of my head - Boat with 9 secs left in OT, since we were 15-15 in OT at that point. But we were up 7, so it meant nada. I checked the play by plays - 3 misses were against Nova. Bazz and Boat missed one each while up by 10 with just over a minute left, then Leon missed a meaningless one right at the end. Last one was Bazz - first of two, up 5, 30 secs left vs Iowa State.

So if you use a convenient definition of pressure (single digit deficit, game still in doubt) we only missed one late game pressure FT in six wins on the way to a title, out of roughly 50 attempts (some of the makes were non-pressure too).

We might never see that again.

I think I remember Raftery or Lundquist putting the jinx by quoting the 15-15 before Boatright's miss.

It would have been dramatic to drain some more free throws had Calipari not had his head-up-his-___ and fouled, those one-on-one's would have been massive pressure. Of course Shabazz had already made free throws just like that 3 years ago. He was bred for it.
