Still remember like it was yesterday. In a hostel in Montreal for Spring Break, one other guy from our group stayed with me to watch a stream it on the hostel computer while everyone else went to some idiotic museum or something equally useless.

I yelled so loud when that shot went down the entire building freaked out

That was a ridiculous run through the BET against serious competition.

Still watch those '11 BET games once a month, still can't believe what I saw.

That was a ridiculous run through the BET against serious competition.

No joke -- the quarterfinals of the BET that year was around Sweet 16 caliber.

Here were the matchups and the NCAAT seeds they ended up with:

(1) Pitt - (3) UConn
(3) Cuse - (6) St. John's
(2) ND - (6) Cincy
(4) Ville - (11) Marquette

That doesn't include 5 seed WVU, 6 seed Georgetown, or 9 seed Villanova.

Any pundit claiming this year's ACC is stronger than the 2011 BE is out of their mind.

That '11 run is the greatest thing I've ever seen in sports. It was Kemba and a bunch of kids.

But those kids could ball. 4 freshman and all contributed huge roles all season long. I watch guys like freshman Napier, Lamb and R. Smith and they just seemed so poised. Back then one of our guys on a fast break layup attempt was easy money, now it feels like I can't really rely on any of our guys, even the upperclassman, to make even those layups. I don't really know what it is, but with this squad I don't really expect shots in the flow of the game to fall like I did with most of our squads back then, I know not fair comparisons but still.
