Double OT I’m guessing, ESPN news feed is absolutely horrible, feed constantly freezes for minutes at a time.

UConn will finish 6th in NPI

Might not play the 11 seed though

3 ECAC teams finished 7,8,9 and the committee likes to avoid inter conference matchups.

UConn might get screwed and have to play #9 Princeton and then #1 Ohio State instead of the easier route of the #11 winner of the NEWHA tournament and then #3 Penn State

Congrats to the women for getting over the Northeastern hump. And making a bright spot in a day the men of Storrs let us down.

That would be unacceptable if true. Esp in an 11 team field to drop like that simply to avoid "inter conference" matchups.

Toscano had a great crowd today. Funny how better the atmosphere is when the team wearing UConn wins!

The story of the game was Tia Chan. She played for UConn. She did not play for Northeastern.

I thought Northeastern had a slight edge in Grade A's. But UConn played just well enough to make it very competitive. And UConn had Chan who repeatedly was guilty of grand larceny including not one but two stone cold stonings on Northeastern breakaways. Her quickness and anticipation on multiple rebound shots just had to be seen to be believed. And even then you were left scratching your head and asking yourself "did I just see that?". She won the MVP of the tournament. Highly deserved.

I wonder if UConn got 1.2 W's, a tie, or 0.8 W's in the NPI? They were the away team playing at home because Northeastern 's rink is being renovated or replaced.

Attendence was 500 short of a sellout and set a record for the tournament.
