Its a tad frustrating that studio crew didn't even mention Gabby Connolly, one of UGA's best players, barely playing in a loss???

57 points wins the game? Louisville will score 80+ on them.
I think Oregon wins if Louisville advances today. Louisville's offense has been bad of late and I dont see them slowing down Prince/Sabally.

Say what you will about Graves (I've done it too), but he always seems to have his teams peaking at the right time.
I don't know that peaking is what I would call this. They did enough to win, I'll give them credit for that. Wasn't pretty. It was pretty much Prince and Sabally, hardly anything from the rest of the team.

Prince has a chance to be terrific.

I know Pao-Pao's out, but the rest of the vaunted Oregon "number one" recruiting class has been MIA the first two games.
Not exactly. Scherr hasn't/doesn't score much, but her defense has been crucial in both games. She gets her hands on a lot of balls and is very disruptive. There is no way Oregon could have won this game without her.

When you start in a deep ravine, any upward movement qualifies.

What ever the Ducks do after this I consider it gravy mode. No pressure on them or higher expectations

Why didn’t Connally play much?
She must have been injured. She only played 11 min with no fouls. She’s a key player for GA. I believe they were also down one of their three point specialists who they could have used today.

It’s not everyday that Prince puts up 22 pts and 4 blk. She must have turned some kind of corner.

Prince and Sabally could definitely give Louisville some troubles.

Gabby Connally has had limited minutes in games after suffering an ankle injury March 14. Only played 11 minutes against Drexel too.

I'll take your word for it.

Only watched 2nd 1/2, and although I was rooting fir Oregon, it really seemed to me the refs made a huge difference in Oregon’s favor down the stretch. Stopping the play on the breakaway that would have tied the game for Ga. turned the tide. Instead of a tie, Oregon went up 4 and it was basically over. Also it seemed to me that Sabally took 3 steps on both of her last 2 drives and Prince led with her forearm against Stadti on several drives. Hopefully only the best refs are assigned the sweet 16 games.

So we have Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and now Georgia ...

COME ON DOWN! You’re the next contestants on The SEC Is (Getting Run) Right (out of Town)!

This conference needs better coaches.

we have Very mediocre coaches relying on talent and athleticism. Very little coaching is going on

You forgot Alabama though their loss is understandable.

Yeah was focusing on the ones that failed to hold their seed. Four out of 6 top 4 seeds, and shoulda been 5 if not for Troy getting robbed

Looking like NW is gonna choke away their golden opportunity.

Louisville is still vulnerable. Not sure if Oregon is the team to beat them, but it's certainly possible.

The infamous Dee Kanter

Unfortunately I was without internet yesterday so couldn’t follow comments, etc. So as a wrap:
1. First dominant game by Prince (finally)
2. Scherr was about 11th in minutes played before Tourney. 4th option at point (!). Stepped into a difficult situation and handled it. 6 assists, 3 steals, 5 TO’s (one a bizarre 10 second call)
3. Sabally needs to suck it up and stop glancing at or whining to the bench. That said she is a beast.
4. 22 TO’s first game, 18 in this one. It is a problem. Mikesell cut it down from 7 to 3 but she really needs to improve.
4. The last half of regular season was brutal. But...The success of getting to the Sweet Sixteen and the team‘s reaction to it gives me more hope than I had before that all the Freshmen might stick (no portal) to advance to next season with Sabally, Prince, Mikesell, Chavez
