Even TJ Weist?

Just clear out PP and GDL and anoint TJ Weist as interim coach. I don't see how that would be a bigger disaster than riding out the year. I never thought canning him ahead of Michigan was the right way to go, but post Michigan seems perfect to me.

Maybe Weist stays. Maybe. Have to wonder why Butch Jones didn't take him to Tenn.

The rest of these guys all have to go. No holdovers for the next staff. Enough of these guys getting to stay on because they're here and close to home. There is a fat cat syndrome in play here. The defense and DL play in particular tells me everything I need to know. We have DT size DE's that can't set edge speed wise and the smaller DE's on the roster brought in to speed rush can't disengage from the OT's on one on one plays.

I know we have a fondness for some of these guys, mainly Hughes and Foley, but to hell with it. Need a complete overhaul with the new guy putting together his own staff. We saw PP keep some of the guys and you could only presume he did it and then proceeded to over rule any input they may have had that would make a difference. Almost is PP felt he did them a favor keeping them on, and they should be grateful and STFU.

Give PGDL the boot after Michigan, let Hughes and Weist close out 2013 while Warde gets a head start on finding a replacement.
