I went with Polley on a weird gut feeling, but reconsidered and changed it to Gaff. It feels like a lineup with those four starters and anyone but Gaff would be too turnover-prone.
Gaffney. Hurley has shown that he likes his known commodities. Maybe Ajax has been lighting it up in practice, but Hurley will want to see him do it in a true game a few times before getting the nod.
I put down Gaff for the extra ball handling and hopefully some offense. I think Polley is the other option based on some of Hurley's tidbits about Polley getting in passing lanes and being disruptive defensively without having to rebound.
I think regardless AJax starts the season as an energy guy off the bench.
I think it's Gaff. Could be Ajax. I don't think there is another option. Ball handling with Martin at the 2 and Polley at the 3 would be problematic. Both Martin and Jackson are reportedly playing more like guards, so who know?
Against any other team on our schedule, save for Binghamton, we would need Gaffney as that 5th starter. But this is CCSU. I think Hurley has the luxury of rolling the dice tonight.
