UNL and UWV care about moving from where they were to $50M+ and $40M+.
I’d rank it ahead of losing both games and money.Guess money can't by status. And by that same logic, you are implying that UConn fans would be OK with losing as long as they weremaking money.

He's sitting on probably $5MM. He can sit there and count his annual dividends and write "Football my Way: Winning Breakfast."If Fiasco get fired, I wonder what his options are?

Leaving the Big 12 was a no-brainer. It hasn't worked out for Nebraska because they have had crappy staffs. All it takes is the right coach. The Big 12 is a cluster****.Nebraska is another victim of all of the conference realigning. They used to be SOMEBODY. They a big fish in the old Big 8 and used that platform to go to New Year Day bowl games, which at times earned them a National Championship. Now they are a decent, middle of the pack team in the BiG. That is a huge step backwards for Nebraska. West Virginia is another program that went from periennial NYD bowls to middle of the Big 12 pack records. Again a huge step backwards. Things should just have just been left alone.
Selling bridges in Brooklyn or swampland in Florida perhaps. Or maybe open a haberdashery. If Fiasco get fired, I wonder what his options are?

Based on some convos with Diaco, I do wonder if he might have benefited from a year to process UConn debacle. He turned the page awfully fast on what he's told me was a painful experience.

I agree 100%. Diaco is Nebraska's problem now. Why all the dumping on somebody that isn't even around anymore. Kinda sophomoric to be honest. Besides, Uconn's defense can't stop the cheerleaders from scoring on them so you got rid of one "defensive guru" for one that already tried here and left for a "dream job". Bottom line, if Edsall and the new staff can't upgrade the recruiting the Diaco haters will be looking for Edsall's head after the 2018 season.

The conference WVU left literally doesn't exist anymore, and you're arguing they made a mistake in leaving? That's insane.
Things weren't going to be left alone and schools had to act in their best interest. Both did. The performance on the field isn't thanks to the conference, it's due to the coaching and their failures.

I had a mighty moment this morning and strained maximally right after winning breakfast...LOL! I can't stop laughing.
Q: What do the Titanic, Milli Vanilli, Bob Diaco, and the extinction asteroid have in common?
A: They all had "a moment"
Classic...
Woefully naive and self-defeating.The Big East might still exist had programs not bailed. West Virginia, Miami, Virginia Tech were all marquee teams from the BE and would have kept that conference elite. And to blame WVU and Nebraska's fall to mediocrity on coaching staffs alone is inaccurate.
Nebraska would meet teams like OSU or Michigan or Wiscy or PSU in NYD Bowls. Now they play each other in the regular season and cannabalize each other long before the bowls begin. College football was better beforethe P5 nonsense started.
No idea why Frost would want to go there. I know he is an alum but I just don’t see it being as desirable as it maybe once was. Frost should be eyeing UF.
