I'm not sure anyone has ever hit the powerball like Ringo Starr. He was a great personality for the group but when it came to musical talent he just was not in the same class. The funny thing about the Beatles is that at the beginning a lot of people thought they were a flash in the pan and would be pushed out be all the other "boy" bands coming over from England. Fifty years later they are recognized by at least three generations for the genius that they were.
I disagree with your assessment of Ringo, when it comes to drumming he was considered by many drummers to be a genius. He did some stuff on the drums that no one had ever done previously. I've attached a tribute to Ringo done by Sina, who is considered to one of the best female drummers in the World. I hope you enjoy it.
