We beat a WVU team lead by Geno Smith and Noel Devine in overtime, 16-13. We recovered 4 fumbles and Dave Teggart kicked the game winner as students rushed the field. Todman ran for 113 yards and a touchdown.

This game brought us to 4-4 on the 2010 season and with a win tonight, we could also reach our 4th W. We talk about QB uncertainty, but at this point in 2010, Fraizer had been benched earlier in the season, Box was sidelined with a head injury, and Code Endres had just been kicked off the team. (Also, only 2 of the 4 pregame skydivers made it into the stadium)

There is always hope!

That was a great night - turned the 2010 season around.

I'm in that mass of people somewhere!

Staying positive is great. However, 2010 is ancient history in college sports. The whole team, and student body have cycled through.

I jumped on the field that night and stood in awe at the place the field goal was kicked from.
That was good times!

whatever happened to Noel Devine? Thought he had a legit shot at making it in the NFL... even though he was on the smaller side

4 years ago tonight, northern CT became paralyzed by a blizzard.

I don't see either 4 or 5 years ago repeating themselves tonight. And that UWV team from 5 years ago was way better than the ECU team that comes in tonight.

I'm thinking back to the week leading up to the WVU game. I think I said in 241 that this was "last call." We had a team that could compete with the Big East that year, but we weren't competitive at 3-4 (0-2). Nonetheless, with WVU having been upset once and both WVU and Pitt coming to the Rent, it was clear that if we could just beat WVU for the first time we could still win the conference.

And you people don't always listen to me why? (LOL)

That started on the 29th, the day my daughter was born. Ironically, 4 years later we get 75 degrees - mother nature paying us back.

A picture almost identical to this (one section over) popped up on my On This Day thing on Facebook. Awesome night!
