Actually they’re in it every other year, in odd numbered years. But they weren't in it in 2021 because it was played in Las Vegas (because of Covid?) and not in 2023 either because it was in Honolulu (fire in Lahaina).

the Auburn/ISU path might be the toughest 3 game stretch anyone sees this season outside of the ncaa tourney: ISU/Auburn > UNC > UConn.

Kind of ok with it coming off the tomato can quartet. This gives us a nice ascension qualitatively into a tough Championship game, into Texas, Baylor, Zags.

We’re also likely to get three very diff teams/styles in Maui so very curious to see how we match up. Izzo is gonna turn it into a street fight grinder, and really curious to what that looks like. Being very cautious with expectations of this group this early in as I get this feeling there may be a step back before two steps forward.

Flying there today direct. Hurley didn't want to stop over in CA like they've done on the way to previous Maui Invitationals.
