#5 Stanford @ Oregon St - 2/13/21

60-52 Stanford thru Q3. Beavs went cold for a long stretch.

Tara put Brink in for a minute to start Q4 and gave her the hook. She's played 9 minutes.

Way too much hesitation by OSU on shooting.......not going win without scoring...duhhhhh.

Stanford starting to pull away, up 12. Beavs offense is M.I.A. since about the midway point of Q3.

Never mind, OSU still sucks. Down 23 now. Basically a no show in the 2nd half.

They may have let Oregon St back into the game for a bit however their run at the end of the game was pretty spectacular. When That team is clicking, they are pretty impressive.

17 for H. Jones, 16 for Williams, 14 for Jerome, 13 for Brink, 11 for Jump (25 off the bench for Jerome and Jump is huge). 13-27 3's for Stanford.

16 for Goforth, 13 for T. Jones (only 1 pt. in the 2nd half), 12 for Goodman.

They may have let Oregon St back into the game for a bit however their run at the end of the game was pretty spectacular. When That team is clicking, they are pretty impressive.

I didn't really notice Stanford letting OSU back in. OSU played great in the first half to hang with Stanford, but faded in the 3rd quarter and ran out of gas entirely in the 4th.

edit--one more, she's now outscoring Taylor Jones 14-12

it was very awkward to watch. I'm sure she was following instructions...to just focus on boxing out Taylor and let the others worry about trying to rebound the ball. but a couple times she was the closest yet she actually continued to back away from the ball just to further box out Taylor who had already given up on that particular rebound anyway.

looked very decisive in pulling the trigger from 3. love to see it

funny that Haley ended with 8 field goals as i thought she looked a bit quiet/unsure offensively most of the night.

Jerome's career at Stanford has been perplexing to me. She's competed at a high level for Canada and was part of the bronze medal U19 FIBA World squad which included Amihere, Koning and Hailey Brown.

She was a starter for some time if memory serves correct. I thought she would be more of a role player when the 2019 and 2020 classes came in. Hoping she gets some more opportunities to play in her senior season.

I feel bad for her, she should've picked another school. She's had quite a few DNP this season.
