Both teams are finally finding their rhythm. There was so much standing around in the first half of the half that I thought, No wonder no one watches women's college basketball. (Except us, of course!)

Suddenly Cal is up by 13 with ten minutes left. Stanford hasn't been beaten by a PAC 10 team at Maples in forever.

Stanford is in trouble.. They are not a team that can put up points quickly to come back from a big deficit.. Cal is a strong rebounding team.

Anyone know why they are playing back-to-back games? That's quite odd.

So I guess maples isn't the toughest place to play "this" year.

I knew Stanford had some vulnerability, but Cal may be better than I thought.

Now maybe all of this "who should be ranked 4th?" silliness can end. A number 1 seed is Duke's for the taking.

Gee was there during all four years I was at Brown (97-01). Simmons started in 2002. Mind you, I'm not a big fan of Simmons either.

I was in the English dept; for your sake, I also hope I wasn't one of your students. Brown was during my invincible, ego-friendly days :)

Your college career was one year?

I was in grad school then -- hope you werent one of my students. :)

Hijacked thread. :)

Gee is listed as 1998-2000.

I was there during the Hornig Presidency. I was at Penn when Gregorian was Provost there. He's a great guy and should have been the Penn President.

But Duke has a much tougher schedule for the rest of the season than Stanford (who could go undefeated for the rest of the season). Including UConn.

Too bad Duke and Stanford do not play each other.

Now maybe all of this "who should be ranked 4th?" silliness can end. A number 1 seed is Duke's for the taking.
