I do not care for NC State -- they're fraudulent -- but they have already proven they're a threat to SC, and we know that SC can at least hang with UConn.

Better to get them outta here. The Mercado Regional final should be Indiana v. Arizona. NCST and Texas A&M have grossly underplayed their seeding thus far.
The entire SEC has grossly underplayed their seedings.

Much needed little run by NCST at the end of Q3. Down 10. Was at least 14, maybe more? Indiana went a bit cold after hitting almost everything that quarter.

.-.
This is the Indiana team I've seen all season except for the blip in the Big 10 tournament.
That’s a really good point. All year long, Indiana has been one of those top-15 teams that everyone knows can take out a top-5.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see State come back—they seem to have a penchant for that. They don’t have any chance at a national title regardless, though.

You should be proud of your conference and your team. Maligned in some quarters they're showing, to me, they're at least the second best conference in the country this year. Tell you what though WCBB fans. You'd better get UConn this year 'cause the next three years are going to be bad for basketball.

I agree UConn isn’t going away, although I’m not sure the Fudd effect outweighs the incoming class South Carolina brings in.

I don't think I've ever seen a #1 seed get beaten off the dribble more than NC St.

UConn with the #1 incoming class? Even if it's all a trade off UConn will still be at least 1 point better next year.

Twice down now IU hasn't brought any weak side help. Why is that?

Cunane w/ back to back buckets. Not quite over yet. 66-58 w/ just under 5 to play.

Grand total of 3 bench points in this game.

IU slowing the pace on offense to milk the clock has slowed the pace on defense and led to no baskets. Their defense was predicated on weak side help. They can't stopped doing that now.

I was under the impression that Azzi wasn't our only incoming player...hmm.
Now back to the OP....

LOL! NOW the refs have found the whistle. When it's all but over.

Such is the life of an NC State fan.

Holmes just fouled out. IU passing up good shots and end up getting nothing (other than a costly foul) on that possession.

I need some advice.... Prime Rib or Ribeye Steak for the post game meal?

.-.
Little used Brown w/ a big bucket for IU, Perez answers w/ a 3. 70-63 2:37 left.

I was not high on the prowess of the Big Ten leading into this tournament (outside of Maryland and to a lesser degree Iowa), but credit must be given - they've proven their worth. That's the case whether or not IU wins this game.
