Good to see Kitija Laksa (USF sharpshooter) found a spot in the WNBA.

"Found a spot" is premature... training camp roster. She's got a big task ahead to actually make the team.

Jeez. Too early for that kind of talk. :D
Not really. Training camp is underway and and the first preseason games can begin May 5th. Final cutdown to 12 players by May 18th, regular season starts the next day. Waivers are already happening and about 50 players in training camps right now won't make a roster.

Lou's situation: Dallas has indicated that they will
be patient with her given her knee issues. Do we have any idea whether she might be ready for some PT the first
week of the regular season? I don't know enough about WBNA rules...can she be put on some kind of
'injury' list....and get paid while there?

In order for her to be paid, she would either have to remain on the roster. If they believe her injury won't keep her out too long, I would think she would stay on the roster. But this is Dallas so who knows.

There have been plenty of articles written about Lou being the first Mexican born player to be drafted by the WNBA. This has been highlighted by the US/Spanish media:

It certainly helps the ability to make the squad if you have game and the potential to appeal to a local demographic. It can put more bodies in the seats.

Why don't we see Maddy Siegrist on the Wings training camp roster?
