Looking like we will be playing in the 4/5 game in the American quarterfinals. Looking at the standings (I'm taking SMU since this is for conference tournament purposes).

1. Temple 12-4 (Memphis, at Tulane) (UConn can't catch them due to head to head losses)
2. Cincy 11-5 (at Houston, SMU) (UConn could catch them if they lose both games, and UConn wins out)
3. Houston 11-6 (Cincy) (If they win on Thursday at home, we can't catch them due to tiebreakers)
4. Tulsa 11-6 (USF) (Don't see them losing their next game, again lose to due tiebreakers)

The interesting this week is that if Houston beats Cincy at home on Thursday, Cincy will most likely be our first round opponent due to tiebreakers. I would rather play Houston, even after today's results.

I am with the people who say we need to win a game in the American if we lose at SMU this week. Win that game and UCF, and I think we are in.

Idk. I would be nervous playing any of the teams that have already beat us.

Have they ever? Louisville has, we usually find a way to beat Cinci come tourney time.
Louisville was a bad matchup and better team in 2014. I can't really say either of those about this Cincy team.

The "good" thing is it will be another opportunity. Whether it is Houston or Cincy (or unlikely Tulsa) it will be a chance to get a Top 50-75 win.

Agreed, if they can manage to play a full game or at least not the defensive meltdown they had today no team they'd face in the AAC tourney would worry me like that Louisville team.
