Looking like we will be playing in the 4/5 game in the American quarterfinals. Looking at the standings (I'm taking SMU since this is for conference tournament purposes).
1. Temple 12-4 (Memphis, at Tulane) (UConn can't catch them due to head to head losses)
2. Cincy 11-5 (at Houston, SMU) (UConn could catch them if they lose both games, and UConn wins out)
3. Houston 11-6 (Cincy) (If they win on Thursday at home, we can't catch them due to tiebreakers)
4. Tulsa 11-6 (USF) (Don't see them losing their next game, again lose to due tiebreakers)
The interesting this week is that if Houston beats Cincy at home on Thursday, Cincy will most likely be our first round opponent due to tiebreakers. I would rather play Houston, even after today's results.
I am with the people who say we need to win a game in the American if we lose at SMU this week. Win that game and UCF, and I think we are in.
