What does "partially de-committed" mean?
I'm going to guess and see if I'm right. Kid committed but now has decided to consider other offers although has not decided to rule out Rice.

Quick question for 3uconn. This young man Checkovsky, how old is he? Also, why is he playing in Spain and not in HS here in America. Especially if he's 18, or so.
Also, from what I can see and count, UConn has only 1 scolie to give over the next 2 years, especially if Daniels & Boat return and nobody leaves. From what I saw in last nights USF game, we definitely need help, up front, ASAP. If Checkovsky ever commits what happenes to the 2015 big guys we are recruiting?

We do have Hulk Hogan, I mean Lakim coming in next year - big guy up front.

I wouldn't get too worked up over that guy. If it happens, it happens. However, I doubt it does. There's so much that has to go on to get him to be able to play in college and then we have to fight other schools for him. Also, it's not clear of he will even be eligible to play in the college anywhere.

As for the 1 scholarship; that is true if no one leaves. However, as I've said in the past it's possible Daniel Hamilton or Rodney Purvis are one and dones here. Also, speculate on your own, but there could be transfers. As of now my guess is we take 2 more recruits in 2015 to go along with Ali and Jackson.

I saw on twitter that Chekovsky played for Partizan, one of the consistent powers In European basketball so I'm not sure this college attempt will go. No idea if he was on a JR. team or not but I don't believe Kanter played for his SR team in Europe and he was denied eligibility.

If you look at the roster for next year the glaring weakness is defense on the wing. Losing both kromah and giffey will leave a big void on defense. They should (and probably plan to) go after another senior transfer who can lock people down.

That's assuming that senior transfer rule isn't turned down by the NCAA.

Have you already forgotten about Pat Lenehan?!?!

It all depends on how Hamilton and Purvis handle those responsibilities. They certainly won't have experience in Ollie's offense, but on the other hand, maybe the extra length (Hamilton has 2 inches on both Kromah and Giffey while Purvis has 5 inches on Boatright) will offset some of the experience issues.
