I don't know why she is missing so many shots. Early in the year she had a shoulder strap I thought. Anyhow, I don't think it has to do with fatigue whether she is playing differently or not. Because she starts the game by missing a lot.

Secondly, I don't think the defenses are affecting her. I think she is just missing open shots.

You play the style that fits your team or the situation. Some games for example if other team has high scoring talent you aren't going to press them necessarily. Pressing to push tempo can create fouls and UCONN doesn't have the bench for that. Nolan Richardson used a lot of guys.
Good points! Damn, I’ve been trying to sell the idea for weeks that it does suit us!
We are better in the open court than we are in the half court. And we have a 6’2 center.
Watch the Baylor game with everyone standing around and no one breaking down the defense and a 6’7 center posting us on the block. I’ve also said 900 times that we have to front those posts.

A pretty stunning contrast, across the board

Before exams (9 games):
Team = 41% / KLS = 42% / Rest = 41%
Post exams (12 games):
Team = 30% / KLS = 29% / Rest = 31%

Games above 40% & below 30%
BEFORE: Team 6 & 2 / KLS 5 & 3 / Rest = 4 & 1
POST....,: Team 3 & 7 / KLS 2 & 6 / Rest = 2 & 5

Maybe she's playing a long con. Teams might stop guarding her closely if she's only shooting 30%. Could be a brilliant rope-a-dope move if she suddenly finds her shot late in the tournament. :)
