Curiosity got the best of me, so I looked it up. UConn is -35. If the spread is remotely accurate, the outcome should be decided in the first half and there should be plenty of minutes for Hawkins, Diggins, and Samson.

For being the 351st ranked team in the country (out of 358), UMES only lost to St. Joe's by 2, Campbell by 11 and Liberty by 12 and beat Fordham in OT. They lost to Temple 72-49 as well. Not saying we won't win by 35 (I'd like to get our third 50 point victory, personally) but the 351st ranking might be slightly misleading. They "only" lost to Baylor (#3 vs #350) by 32 back in Dec. 2019.

Sounds like a multi task game opportunity (if I can stay out of the chat room).

Obviously I'm not Coach Hurley, but I would consider resting Tyrese after he sprained his wrist in the Bahamas. Don't really need to prove anything tonight or Saturday vs Grambling

Yeah, UMES is 5-0 against the spread this year apparently. Hoping we cover but it's not the end of the world if we don't. Definitely seems like this team is playing slightly better than 351st lol

Is it the end of the world if we don’t even win by double digits? Or even win at this point?

I never bet but I was really tempted to put money on UMES with that spread. There were lots of reasons including coming back from the Bahamas and playing a lesser team than what they played last week. And then when they announced Martin wasn't playing this was easy money.

I agree. Didn't want to bet against UConn but really wanted to pull the trigger this time.

Oh well, happy we won.
