Ollie should be commended but he won't be. The likes of freescooter are waiting patiently in the bushes until his next hiccup. If this continues it will be nothing short of remarkable, given the physical size of our frontline.

They're developing. Lubin replace TO next year. His inexperience will be a factor but he has much better rebounding instincts. This was a set back game for AB. Not unexpected. I hope he gets a few more games like UCF over the next month.

Team is pretty close to nailing the coffin shut on rebounding.

Before this game the team was a net positive for the year.

Not saying UConn will consistently be +8 every game but the days of worrying how to compete at -8 every game are gone. Brimah looked very strong getting and holding position. A work in progress but progressing mid-season. Nice.

This was NOT a set back for AB -- unless you expect 20-10 a games. It was a very solid effort with a few foolish freshman fouls thrown in.

Exactly. If he didn't get one of his usual fouls before he steps on the court called against him, he would have contributed more.

AB is grabbing and securing boards that squirted out of his hands earlier in the year. Beautiful. Out rebounded Goodwin tonight. We predicted that?

Not only that ... but our bigs never get the benefit of the doubt. As they play better they'll start seeing that change, hopefully.

I could see how one could say it was a set back for ab, he made a lot of dumb fouls that were easily avoidable. He did do some really wild stuff around the tin however ;tip in during transition and the catch and finish along baseline. Also defended goodwin at a high level. Guy is thin but a very nice athlete.

Absolutely not a set back game for AB

His off the ball movement on offense was uncertain and he was more hesitant on defense. I don't go by numbers alone. I'm not down on this kid at all. His potential is much greater than I thought possible.

Today I really noticed that TO does a very nice job boxing out. Rarely does he get the board but he puts our guards in position to get the rebound. I hope Bazz takes him out for steak like a star running back does for his oline.

When this team rebounds, we win. It's that simple.

I see no other weaknesses on this team. We don't need the frontcourt to consistently produce on offense to win, it's just a bonus. Defensively the frontcourt is above average in my opinion. But REBOUNDING is our only true weakness.

If we can get rebounding sorted out (and it's been improving) I truly think we can beat any team on any given night.

Brimah has shown better hands of late, he just has to stay out of foul trouble.
Nolan quietly has been playing solid as well.
When DeAndre hits the glass and bangs down low for rebounds as well, we are a different team.

For those that were calling out Ollie for the team's lack of improvement over the first month or so, you also have to credit him for this team's turn around.
